ROOM: Hall Timpani TIME: 15:30 DATE: 13 September

The Timpani Master Class is called CONCEPTS FOR TIMPANI and will consist of the major techniques of timpani playing:

Warm-Ups
Tone Production
Rolls
Muffling
Cross Sticking

There will be participation from the audience as I ask individuals to play along with me to demonstrate some of the techniques. In conclusion, I have written a short timpani quartet with one player on each drum that will reflect the concepts for timpani
– it will be fun.
