In his masterclass Murat will focus on traditional and innovative Turkish Rhythms. He will show the mostly important combinations of odd-rhythms, also give some examples of small compositions. He will also show some “dance steps” and transform traditional rhythms on the body. Also, one important focus is on the “syllable-language”. You will learn also simple melodies in odd rhythms and transform it on different drums and percussion instruments. He will also show some examples of his own approach on frame drums and show some ideas to play in a very “easy” way like “freehand-style.
